The 61st Street Market is a space dedicated to local foods and the farmers, food artisans, and harvesters who make them. Since 2018, Jana Kinsman’s Bike a Bee has supplied locally harvested honey to our community from around 100 hives on the south side and a few more on the north side.

Growing Home is a nonprofit, USDA-certified 1.75-acre organic farm located in Englewood, Chicago. Since joining the 61st Street Farmers Market in 2022, customers have come to rely on them for high-quality, delicious organic produce such as greens, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and hundreds of other varieties.

As you approach the corner of 61st Street and Blackstone Avenue, you see a long line of customers happily chatting and scooping up mounds of peppers, fall squash, greens, potatoes, tomatoes, and so much more. This can only be Gorman Farm Fresh Produce!

For the past 12 years, Yoberri has been a sweet staple and community favorite, delighting market-goers with handcrafted frozen yogurt, ice cream, sorbet, and freshly made cold-pressed juices.

The 61st Street Market is thrilled to welcome Thank God 4 Raw and Vegan Treats this year! They specialize in outstanding plant-based, made-to-order meals with no additives or preservatives, and they are known for their tasty vegan super tacos, vegan nachos, and vegan peach cobbler.

What happens when 45 students from 22 South Side Chicago high schools spend two weeks of summer camp at Blackstone Bicycle Works? 

They are immersed in bikes, science, art, engineering, and exploration! Along with professional mentorship, field trips, and hands-on workshops, each participant earned their own bike, helmet, lock, and tools–plus a $200 stipend.
