Who needs coffee to kick start their weekend?

We’ve got two amazing coffee vendors for you at the 61st Street Farmers Market—and we’d love to share their stories with you.

This summer marks a new chapter for Build Coffee, as co-founder Hannah Nyhart officially passes the torch to new owners Eve L. Ewing, Trina Reynolds-Tyler, and Andrea Faye Hart—longtime customers and members of the community.

What began as a stand at the 61st Street Farmers Market in 2016 grew into a full-service coffee shop and community hub when Build opened its doors at 6100 S. Blackstone Ave in 2017. Hannah’s dedication to nurturing community, creativity, and collaboration helped shape Build into more than just a place to get coffee—it became a space where people could work, dream, and connect.

Step into Build Coffee on any day or wait in line on Saturdays during the Market, and you’ll find more than your favorite brew. You’ll feel the warmth of neighbors, hear the hum of creativity, and experience a welcoming space for all. The new owners plan to continue that legacy with a slight rebrand as Build Coffee and Books.

This Saturday, June 28, marks their grand reopening. Whether you're stopping by the Market or the ceremony, some of our favorites include spicy mochas, pecan pie lattes, cardamom rose specials, hibiscus lemonade, and palm tree tea.
