The Wait is Over: The 61st Street Farmers Market Returns!
This Saturday, May 16, the 61st Street Farmer Market is officially kicking off our 19th outdoor season, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you back!
Vendor Line-up
We have an incredible lineup of 40 vendors ready for 2026, featuring a mix of fresh faces and longtime favorites. This year’s roster includes Earthlore Farm for delicious seasonal vegetables, Hook Point Fisheries for premium sushi-grade fish, J2K Capraio for artisanal cheeses and sausages, Mick Klug Farms for the freshest local fruits, and Montelimar for handcrafted baked goods.
We are also thrilled to welcome several brand-new vendors to the mix, so be sure to keep an eye on our Instagram or Facebook as we reveal these new additions over the next few weeks.
Record-Breaking Growth
Our record-breaking growth last year is a testament to this community, which showed up in a truly generous way. We saw a 13% increase in attendance from 2024, with more than 2,500 weekly customers shopping at the Market every Saturday. Beyond shopping at the Market, you demonstrated incredible support by contributing to our Fill the Gap campaign: your donations raised $30,968 toward our $45,000 goal, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to keeping this Market thriving.
This support directly impacts our mission of food access and education. Last year, the Market proudly served over 300 local children with hands-on education in gardening, cooking, and nutrition, while welcoming more than 600 SNAP recipients to shop for fresh food. You can read more about the impact we made together in our full Food Access Report.
As many of our neighbors now face the potential loss of their benefits following the federal changes on May 1, the Market remains committed to supporting our SNAP shoppers as best we can.
While we continue to grow, we still need your help to keep the Market’s vital programs accessible. If you are able, please make a donation to support local food access. Your generosity is what keeps the Market running.
We are so proud of what we’ve built together, and we can't wait to see you this Saturday at the 61st Street Farmers Market!
Meet the amazing Market team working behind the scenes to make this all possible!
