About the Play:
Set during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, MonteCristo2020 follows a lonely bookworm isolating in her apartment who discovers Dumas’s classic novel. As she reads, the story of adventure, intrigue, and revenge comes vividly to life—drawing her into a world that begins to mirror her own. Blending past and present, the musical explores grief, isolation, and the enduring power of storytelling to offer connection and hope.
