Experimental Station, located at 6100 S. Blackstone Ave., offers versatile rental spaces for a wide range of events. As a non-profit arts and cultural hub, we welcome community groups, artists, filmmakers, and musicians from Chicago's Southside and beyond. Our facilities can accommodate gatherings of all sizes, from intimate events to large celebrations. Explore our unique spaces:

BOOK TODAY

Size: 30' x 50' with 20-foot high ceilings

Capacity: up to 150 guests standing or 100 seated with chairs and tables

The Big Room is our main event space, offering ample room for creativity and versatility. It features a variety of backdrops, including a brick wall, a blackboard wall, and a white wall, allowing for different aesthetics and setups. The Big Room is ideal for community meetings, weddings, plays, video and photo shoots, live music, pop-up restaurants, corporate retreats, gallery installations, and small festivals.

The Big Room

Our kitchen is perfect for food-related events. It is equipped with a stove, oven (for warming only), refrigeration, a double steel sink, a soapstone sink, and a woodfire pizza oven. It is ideal for cooking classes, small dinners, pop-up restaurants, bread bakes, and community gatherings.

Kitchen and Dining Area

Capacity: 60 guests standing or 40 seated

The outdoor patio, connected to the kitchen, provides a space for smaller events. The patio is a lovely setting for networking events, small dinners, video shoots, and pop-up markets with a view of our garden area.

Capacity: 60 standing guests or 40 seated

The mezzanine is a cozy spot for intimate gatherings, meetings, or additional breakout space during larger events.

Mezzanine

Adjacent to the mezzanine, the deck provides a beautiful outdoor extension for events that are ideal for outdoor receptions, casual gatherings, or creative photo and video shoots.

BOOK THE SPACE

Please note: To reserve the space, a nonrefundable deposit of $150 per rental day is required for the first room reserved, plus an additional $50 for each additional room. A separate deposit toward the full rental fee will also be required.
