Blackstone Bicycle Works (BBW), a program of Experimental Station, proudly introduces our Cyclocross Racing Team—an initiative that merges competitive cycling with our mission to empower BIPOC youth on Chicago’s South Side.

Through mentorship, bike mechanics, STEAM education, and job training, BBW equips youth with essential life skills and confidence. The cyclocross team builds on this foundation, offering young athletes the chance to grow through a sport that promotes resilience, teamwork, and leadership—while breaking down barriers to entry in competitive cycling.
