The Chicago Southside's premier farmers market, straddling the Hyde Park and Woodlawn neighborhoods, offering the freshest produce, meat, eggs, cheeses and prepared foods from local and regional farms. This year's lineup includes Ellis Family Farms, Organic Bread of Heaven, Mint Creek Farm, A10 Homemade Pastas, Sauce & Bread Kitchen, Growing Power, The Urban Canopy, The Eating Well and many more.

Our market also features chef demos, live music and the "Market School" series - where a weekly expert shares knowledge about food and sustainability. There's something for the whole family here! The 61st Street Farmers Market accepts LINK and Senior Farmers Market Coupons. We also match LINK purchases up to $25 per cardholder, per market day, as long as funding lasts. This means that LINK cardholders can double the value of their LINK purchases each week at the Market.

Our farmers only bring you the freshest produce, so it is good to know what is in season. Here is a Seasonality Chart of what to expect in northern Illinois.

If you value our efforts to improve food access in Woodlawn and support local farmers and small food businesses, please consider giving a tax-deductible donation to Experimental Station today. Online payments accepted via major credit card and PayPal. For more donation options and information, check here.
