As the days darken and the spooky season comes around again, Hyde Park Community Players present their annual Halloween “radio show” on October 21 & 22 at 7:00 pm at Experimental Station, 6100 South Blackstone Avenue.
It looks like all this wind is going to bring some beautiful weather our way for the Market on Saturday. To celebrate the return of the sun, we have a lot of exciting things in store for Market Day!
- B’Gabs Goodies will set up their own tent so they can offer more delicious Vegan Food options. This week’s specials include “Meat Loaf”, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Pancakes, “Bacon” and Pecan Pie!
Well, Saturday will be your last chance this season to stroll up and down 61st Street to do your weekly farmers market shopping. Even though it is with some sadness that we close out the 2011 outdoor season, there is great excitement for our Indoor Market opening up next week. So, have no fear! We have you covered this week, November and December! Here are some 61st Street Farmers Market highlights for this Saturday.

Honey Pot Performance presents The Sweet Goddess Project, a multimedia dance theater work exploring women’s experiences in Chicago house music and dance culture. While women have long been essential to the sounds and scenes of house as vocalists, dancers and DJs, this urban performance tradition is often narrated as a male-dominated practice and cultural space.
Thanks to all of our faithful shoppers, the kick-off of the 61st Street Indoor Farmers Market season was a great success! If you didn’t make it last week, you don’t know what you’re missing. With the holiday season upon us, now is a great time to shop the Market.

On Sunday, November 20, the Experimental Station hosted Tellabration, a worldwide celebration of storytelling. This year marks Tellabration's 15th milestone year! Tellabration welcomed back many tellers from its first years, including Susan O'Halloran, Loren Niemi, Shanta, Megan Wells, In The Spirit, as well as many others.
